It’s fascinating to me what happens behind closed doors. How what we think we know is so drastically different than what is real. And how in a time where we are encouraged to be vulnerable, authentic, and real… there are still masks being worn.
I’ve let myself believe that people who made more money than me knew something that I didn’t. I let myself be fooled that women running businesses bigger than mine had something that I don’t. I actually let myself believe that I couldn’t reach certain levels because my life is different.
What a wake-up call…
To see that I’m doing already what many will never do.
To see that the bigger businesses are run by CEOs that run up against the same fears I do.
To see that what I’ve built is unique and uncommon with the way I’ve stayed committed to my mental and physical health coming first.
To see when I stand in a room of women I feel the most powerful when I let myself be fully seen.
To see that everything that I thought was different because of a level of income, is more of the same.
This is your reminder…
You bring something different to the table. You don’t actually know what’s being sacrificed behind the scenes. Your ability to create what you want in this life is entirely up to you.
And if you want to EXPAND, you need to get uncomfortable. Getting support is not just to get guidance from someone who’s been there, it is to explore at every level and uncover what you can’t see on your own.
It allows you to step into what’s possible for your life. Get in the room with a mentor who holds a mirror to reflect back on who the fuck you really are.
If her confidence triggers you, hire her.
If you want to know how she does it, hire her.
If you admire what she’s built, hire her.
Get behind the closed doors because window shopping isn’t going to give you what you actually desire.
